MobileSTAR© is a wireless GIS (Geographical Information System) aimed
at PocketPC, TabletPC and P.D.A. (Personnal Digital Assistant).
MobileSTAR© enables integrated vector and advanced raster combination,
integrated SQL RDBMS and link to most industry standard GPS.   

As a portable G.I.S., MobileSTAR© enables direct link to your desktop
GIS where your data is to be prepared and replicated to the mobile device.
You’re ready to move on to the field and update your data straight into it !
Back to the office, the system will take care of synchronizing your data
between your mobile device and your GIS server. Just take the data you
need for every particular mission ! The Internet connection may, of course,
help for on-line real-time query as well, over a G.P.R.S. high-speedline as a
WMS (Web Mapping Server) Opengis© compatible server such as STAR
NeXT©.

MobileSTAR© enables a bidirectionnal link between STAR GIS and the
portable device where the data are to be prepared and synchronised with the
central server in STAR format.

When an wireless Internet connection is available, the on-line connection to
STAR NeXT© or to any other "Web Mapping" Opengis© compatible server
becomes possible.
