              STAR ELEC Layout

STAR ELEC : Layout has been designed for engineering consultancies and
operators of electrical networks who are in charge of the management and
update of existing networks, as well as the planning of future networks.  

STAR ELEC : Layout relies on an object model, which inputs intelligently
the network's components. Commands are automatically adapted to the
related object classes and processes. The most spectacular aspect concerns
the automatic coherence controls and the process mechanisms peculiar to
each object class. The time saved during design and the guarantee to have
appropriate data is outstanding assets. Operating processes are also
included, as the network's path through its electrical connections, the
location of cables and devices, the sections out of order, the inner
connectivity of transformation substations and cabinets, etc.

STAR ELEC : Layout integrates rich schematic functions enabling a
management independently of spatial representation / location.  The objects
located in schematics are the same objects (they have the same attributes)
as these spatially located, although being symbolized differently.  This
brings flexibility and an ideal support to decision making.

Major functionality of STAR ELEC Layout includes:
- Install cables and devices with their corresponding labels ;
- Customize and do real-time coherence control to avoid useless short
  circuits or connections.
- Do electrical connections in transformation substations or modify the
  electrical status of a switch.
- Modify the electrical properties of the network's elements.
- Change the operating status of a network's section.
- Manage all the network components as sections, sheathes, support
  structures, etc.
